Executive Function Skills
Executive functioning skills facilitate the behaviors required to plan and achieve goals. The fundamental skills related to executive function include Memory, Attention, Processing Speed, and Study Sills.
-
One of the most vital skills for success, students improve their working, short-term, and long-term memory. After BrainMAPS, their memory emerges with increased accuracy, speed, and length of retention.

Attending to someone or something is a vital prerequisite for learning anything. Students increase their stamina for attending to a stimulus, which reduces or entirely eliminates the problem of wandering attention. Practical training is also included to create a good focus environment.
-
Slow processing speed is the reason that students often miss crucial info at school. Using timed activities & metronomes, we slowly increase the speed their brain can process information they see & hear. This skill positively translates to improved relationships and conversations.

The BrainMAPS Curriculum helps improve students’ ability to keep up with their classes & establish a good HW system. Coaches point out ways they can improve their time management, test preparation schedule, and note-taking process.
